An M3 class heavy fighter as a wingman is ideally suited to defending the player’s ship, due to their heavy shielding and weapons. They are not very fast, though, making them troublesome when used for interception. When used with a carrier, these ships are better off being kept docked, because they can have difficulty keeping up. You can expect your M3 wingmen to survive most engagements.
